We are working with a rapidly growing insurer for a Management Accountant. Reporting into the finance manager, this role will be focused on the quarterly finance close of the Corporate Finance function for the group and its subsidiaries, to ensure all reporting, systems, cash flows are delivered in a controlled and timely manner, working with the Group FD to effect change and development. The key responsibilities include but are not exclusive to: • Perform day to day management of the corporate’s books and records, banking, treasury and other financial processes. Ensuring processes and controls are documented and followed. • Production of analytical review of financial information. • Embrace business change and challenge the status quo where appropriate. • Ensure a robust control environment is built, maintained and improvements implemented. • Developing and maintaining efficient month end, quarter end and year end close procedures, reporting accurately and on time. • Preparation of quarterly management accounts for each entity and group consolidation pack. • Assistance with the production of quarterly board meeting materials for review. • Completion of VAT (internal) and Tax (PKF/HMRC) submissions. • Co-ordinate and assist with the annual internal and external audits. • Build robust controls, audit files and analytics to support reporting. • Management of counterparty commission transactions including credit control, expense and claim payments • Control expense management for the group (PM, invoicing, personal expenses). • Perform monthly payroll reconciliations and subsequent recharges to group companies. • Perform weekly checks and reconciliations on investment accounts. • Accountable for the effective management of owned risks or controls. • Assist in identifying and implementing processes to control risks particularly within your own role. The successful candidate will be: • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA, Etc.) • Well versed in management reporting
